Madison Children’s Museum

Join the Madison Children’s Museum at the Clean Lakes Festival, Saturday, July 27th from 11a to 3p in the Crazy4Lakes Discovery Center tent.

Kids can look forward to crawling through a huge bluegill to learn what this familiar fish looks like on the inside or fishing for realistic soft sculpture lake bass, bluegill and crappies from the MCM fishing bridge. Young scientists will want to check out the Little Limnologists Science Table where Kids will work with MCM staff and authentic lake science tools to collect, examine, identify and compare the small organisms they find in water samples collected at and around Olin-Turville park.

While you’re in the education tent make sure to stop by our table and “Tell Us Your Lake Story”. The museum has partnered with Madison Magazine and the UW Oral History Program to collect lake stories from festival attendees. The stories will fuel new exhibit development at the children’s museum and be archived for posterity by the UW Oral History Program.
